Employer Research

There are many online resources you can use to develop a targeted list of potential employers and to dig deeper for employment information. The most obvious place to start in researching a particular company is its own website. When looking to increase your knowledge of a particular market segment, geographic area or industry you should use broader tools. Sites that provide competitive analysis, reports and even employee-reported data can all be useful.

Click on the icons below to get a list of recommended online resources.

Remember that many of the fee-based, hard-copy forms of these resources can be found in your local library. The Darden School Camp Library is a resource for Charlottesville-area alumni, and the Camp Library staff have compiled a list of libraries that are open to the public.

Additional resources are referenced in HoosOnline, from UVA’s Alumni Career Services office (and free to you as a Darden alumnus/alumna).
